Chantalle Hunt M.A.
- Registered Psychologist #1092
- Assessment Only
Chantalle completed her Master of Arts degree through the University of British Columbia. This training allowed her to specialize in neuro-developmental and mental health assessments to support young people ranging from the pre-school to post-secondary stages of their educational journeys. Since completing her graduate training requirements, Chantalle has worked in health, education, and private practice settings. These various professional placements have afforded Chantalle the opportunity to continuously build upon her understanding of, and ability to support, clients of various cultures and neuro-diversity profiles. She prioritizes ongoing learning opportunities that are informed by scientifically validated research findings as well as listening to the lived experiences of people that represent the various populations she serves.
Chantalle is particularly passionate about collaborating with her clients, their parents/caregivers, and other professionals (e.g., educators, physicians, Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers) to provide individualized assessments. Assessment outcomes typically include (a) diagnostic clarifications, (b) explanations for why certain aspects of day-to-day functioning is difficult, (c) recommendations (e.g., skill building interventions and compensatory accommodations) to implement at home and school, as well as (d) space to formally identify and celebrate each person’s unique strengths. Taken together, Chantalle’s primary goal is to provide comprehensive roadmaps for young people and their
families.
