ADHD Assessment in Regina: Comprehensive Evaluations for Children, Adolescents, and Adults

How to Book

I have already decided I would like an assessment for ADHD.  Now what?

If you or your child are experiencing attention-related difficulties affecting performance at school, home, or work, an ADHD assessment can offer valuable insights and support. A comprehensive evaluation can help you gain the support and accommodations you need in both workplace and school settings.

At Wildflowers Therapy in Regina, we offer expert ADHD assessments for children aged 7 and up, adolescents, and adults. Our thorough evaluations are designed to identify attention challenges and help individuals reach their full potential.

  • Detailed Assessment Process

Our ADHD assessments in Regina involve a comprehensive evaluation conducted in our clinic. The process includes a series of tasks, activities, and questionnaires to assess attention and related difficulties. Clients should expect a 90-minute initial appointment to begin on day 1.   Our registered psychologist will gather all pertinent history from you and then schedule about 4 to 5 hours of testing, which may be completed in one or two sessions.

  • Comprehensive Results and Recommendations

The assessment results will provide a thorough understanding of strengths, weaknesses, and areas needing further exploration. We deliver a detailed report including any diagnoses and tailored recommendations for mental health, well-being, and possible treatment options.  The results appointment is completed following the initial appointment and testing appointments.

I suspect I have ADHD – Why would I see a counsellor, if I just want an assessment and diagnosis?

At Wildflowers Therapy in Regina, we recognize the challenges of living with ADHD, whether diagnosed or suspected.

  • Practical Strategies

Gain practical strategies to manage attention difficulties, impulsivity, and hyperactivity effectively.

  • Personalized Guidance

Receive tailored guidance and develop coping skills suited to your unique needs and circumstances.

  • Improved Relationships

Obtain insights and tools to improve relationships at home, school, or work.

  • Other Contributing Factors Considered

There could be multiple reasons why someone may have trouble paying attention or be restless, disengaged, and disorganized. A counsellor will help untangle everything that could be coming into play.

For example, areas such as anxiety, stressors, boredom, bullying, trauma, etc. could all be contributing factors impacting your daily life. We recommend you thoroughly explore your symptoms with a counsellor first.

  • Time and Costs

Psychological Assessments cost between $2500-$3000 when completed by a Registered Psychologist.  We suggest meeting with a counsellor first to decide if you want to invest in a complete assessment.  We have many clients who find success with counselling support, strategies, and guidance.

Note: Some family doctors and pediatricians will provide a diagnosis based on symptoms and sometimes trial medication with you without an assessment from a registered psychologist.
