Rikki’s approach to therapy is trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, strengths-based, and client-centered, with a deep focus on empowerment, trust-building, and creating a safe, inclusive space for healing. Rikki believes that every individual and family possesses inherent strengths, and her goal is to help others harness those strengths to overcome challenges and unlock their full potential.
Rikki is passionate about supporting families and individuals through life’s transitions, managing stress, and navigating the complexities of caregiving, addictions, and trauma. Whether welcoming a new baby, coping with burnout, or working through past wounds, Rikki is committed to collaborating with clients to find resilience, hope, and growth and celebrating observed progress.
Rikki believes that Therapy is a collaborative process between the client/family and clinician whereby goals are developed together and Therapy is paced based on comfortability. Furthermore, Therapy sessions are led by the client/family and interests of those attending are harnessed to develop a therapeutic relationship and meet client/family desired goals. Therapy sessions may incorporate art, movement, sensory based activities, meditation, or traditional talk depending on interest and comfortability.
Rikki enjoys spending time with her children, husband and dogs outside of work. When Rikki isn’t busy with work or her children she loves to get comfy and read a good book.
